Cost:  $130.00
Supplies: - 2 Skeins worsted weight wool yarn. Select 2 colors or a variegated and a solid.
- Tapestry needed (Schacht needle and hem stick card combo)
- Scissors - Pen or pencil
- 2 brown paper bags
The beginning weaving class will be taught on a rigid heddle loom. This class will cover warp and weft calculation, and how to put a warp on the loom. You will learn how to plain weave and concentrate on edges and even spacing. You will weave a scarf length project. You will have a week between class meetings to complete your  project before the final class, when you will learn how to finish your project and get it off the loom! 
Stop by the shop before class to choose appropriate yarns. We will have looms available (Schacht, Ashford and Kromski) or you may bring your own rigid loom with all parts, and stand if you have one.

I have been around the fiber arts my whole life. I love to spin, weave, and dye yarn. I find spinning and weaving is very calming. Playing with color and texture of yarn, fiber and fabric together is very exciting and creates fun and unique outcomes. I have found through that every piece that I have spun, woven, and dyed that there is always something to learn.
 
Class cancellations must be made 10 days in advance in order to get a 50% refund.  Cancellations after that will get no refund.  Our instructors require a minimum number of students to teach a class and they schedule their time accordingly.  We keep class sizes small so that students get personalized attention.  Thank you for your understanding.
