Knit Cuff Down Socks using Double Pointed Needles

Prerequisite: Must be able to knit and purl in the same row and read a knitting pattern independently, some experience with DPNs a plus. 
 
We will be using the free Tin Can Knits app to choose from 7 sizes with measurements from newborn up to Adult Large. 
 
Printed pattern "Rye" from Tin Can Knits and class handouts will be provided. You will need to purchase 2 skeins of Malibrigo Rios (available here at the store). Please bring (or purchase) #5 (3.75mm) double pointed needles, removable stitch markers and a tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
 
This pattern will show you basic sock construction created by knitting in the round and using double pointed knitting needles (DPNs). Starting at the top, knitting the cuff, leg, the heel flap, the heel gusset, foot and toe. Skills include working short rows, picking up stitches and closing the toe with the Kitchener stitch. Most sock patterns are for socks knitted from the cuff down using DPNs. 
 
This is a 3 part class, please plan on attending all 3 classes for best results.

Class cancellations must be made 10 days in advance in order to get a 50% refund.  Cancellations after that will get no refund.  Our instructors require a minimum number of students to teach a class and they schedule their time accordingly.  We keep class sizes small so that students get personalized attention.  Thank you for your understanding.
