To put it plainly I love fiber. I am a knitter, crocheter, a weaver and a spinner. Weaving and spinning are my greatest loves. I find spinning, especially on a spindle, very calming whereas weaving is exciting as you watch the creation of patterns and colors. I am a firm believer that there are no rights or wrongs when working with fiber. Ok, there are a few wrongs. In general there are many different ways to do things and that you need to check them out and find out what works best for you.
